- What will you do to solve the state’s budget crisis?
- What are you doing to create jobs?
- What are you doing to reduce state spending and make goverment more efficient?
It’s critical that legislators are accountable for actions. Here’s a checklist:
- Are their actions at the State Capitol consistent with what they said during the election campaign?
- Do they take responsibility for their actions?
- Will job creation be a priority throughout their term?
If you want to make a difference, you must stay involved.
- Develop relationships with your elected officials and let them know how policies will impact you.
- Communicate with legislators as issues arise – let them know your position.
- Follow up with legislators after they cast votes – express both praise and concern.
